Our Journey

From a favorite dinosaur to forever.

What started with a Bumble icebreaker about the Quetzalcoatlus—the largest flying animal ever—blossomed into a beautiful life together. Grounded in laughter and steady support, our story is one of simple questions, lucky blessings, and the serendipity of finding your person in the most unexpected ways.

The Dinosaur That Started It All

Our story began on Bumble with a simple, playful opening from Ashley: 'What's your favorite dinosaur?' Daniel responded with the Quetzalcoatlus, the largest flying animal ever. That shared moment of humor and intellect was the spark that ignited everything, proving that the biggest journeys can begin with the most curious prehistoric details.

The First Night

On March 7, 2025, our journey truly began at the Opera House in Roseville. It was an evening of laughter and discovery that set the path for everything to come.

A Season of Healing

Following an accident in April, our bond deepened in the quiet moments of recovery. Ashley staying with Daniel full-time transformed a difficult time into a beautiful season of growing as one.

Three Best Friends

Our home was completed by Walter Waffles, Luna, and Tulip. These three rescues quickly became inseparable best friends, teaching us every day about simple, unconditional love.

Bridgeport Surprise

A Promise for Life

On December 6th, on a clear morning at Bridgeport in Penn Valley, Daniel asked a question that would change the course of our lives forever. It was a moment of pure magic, a surprise that captured the depth of our journey together from its very first dinosaur-themed beginning.

Daniel presented a stunning Rare Carat 1.18 carat diamond ring, perfectly set on an 18k gold band on December 6th (12+6=18). In Judaism, the number 18 holds a sacred significance; its alphabetical equivalent is the word 'Chai', which translates to 'life'. To celebrate with this number is to offer a blessing of vitality and shared soul. For us, it serves as a lasting promise to honor and cherish the gift of life we find in one another.

Celebrating Our Roots

As we look toward our future together, we feel incredibly blessed by the journey that brought us here. In Judaism, the Hebrew word for 'life', 'chai', has a numerical value of 18, so celebrating our wedding on November 7th is another reminder of the lifelong commitment we make to each other in marriage and the luck we celebrate in having found each other.
